Miyagiyama arch

This archway welcomes people to the island of miyagiyama, and directly faces the temple on the islands shore. It is not driven into the sand, instead sitting on top of the sand, relying on its shear weight to keep the tide from washing it away. It is said that walking under the archway at low tide brings you good luck.
